SCL Choir were unable to perform for over a year with the pandemic and finally returned in September 2021.  The model was changed and we recently included a Community Singing Cafe.  Guests can meet together socially, enjoy refreshments and have a sing a long before the choir rehearsal starts.

They can also access pastoral support and guidance on available service provision across the city.

Choir takes place at St Mary de Castro Church, Castle View, Leicester every Monday from 1pm-3pm.

The Choir like our other activity sessions, empower our guests to believe in themselves; undertake new activities and skills development.  Guests are encouraged to undertake solo parts where they are confident to do so.

The choir performed as part of the filming of the Speaking of Homelessness project and also live at the premier film launch at the King Power Stadium, Leicester.

How you can support the future of SCL Choir

There are a number of ways in which you can support our Choir session:

  • fund a specific aspect of our session costs;
  • fund the cost of a term of choir;
  • fund the cost of refreshments for the session.

In return SCL can offer:

  • recognition of corporate sponsors through our website, annual reports, regular weekly social media posts;
  • the opportunity for companies to support their local community and make a tangible difference to the lives of those on the edge of society.

“Being part of the Choir has helped me to make positive changes in my life”
