Creative Cafe

SCL’s Creative Cafe focuses on delivering activities that empower our guests to believe in themselves; undertake new activities and skills development.  Activities undertaken are based on guests’ suggestions and feedback and are designed to be accessible to all.

Creative writing, arts and crafts have been an integral part of SoundCafe’s offering  and guests identify with the opportunities provided for ‘gathering together’ creatively.

The sessions equally combat social isolation, exclusion and loneliness, by interaction and pastoral support contributing to improved mental health.

The session runs from 12.45-2.15pm at St Mary de Castro Church, Castle View, Leicester.

There are a number of ways in which you can support our sessions:

• fund a specific aspect of our session costs – ie: activity materials or the cost of refreshments;
• fund a cost of a term
• help to raise the profile of the charity and our sessions and what we are trying to achieve to secure additional funding.

In return SCL can offer:

• recognition of corporate sponsors through our website, annual reports and regular weekly social media posts;
• the opportunity for companies to support their local community and make a tangible difference to the lives of those on the edge of society.
